For Nanase, who has been serving Akihabara for over five years, this was her third time joining the event. She shared, “I love Akihabara, and every time I participate, I’m filled with energy to make this city shine with our Masters and Princesses!”
Special Merch and Preparations 🌟
Special Merch was there as well!
Despite the last-minute announcement, many Masters and Princesses eagerly joined the Cleaning Squad.
Whenever our maids participate, there’s a special merchandise corner, a beloved tradition. This year featured:
Signed Chekis

Original Cleaning Squad T-shirts signed by the participating maids
The maids, excited by the unique offerings, said, “Even we want these!” as they happily signed the items.
Hitting the Streets of Akihabara 🌸
With merchandise sales wrapped up, the opening ceremony began. For the first time, Nanase took on the role of emcee, expertly guiding the event with her cheerful demeanor.
Let’s go!
After a speech by Takaya Kobayashi, Chiyoda Ward Councilor and committee chairman, participants gathered for a commemorative photo. The event officially kicked off with the cheer, “Take care, Masters and Princesses!”
Our maids formed Team Infinia alongside our fairy companions, departing from Akiba Square in front of Tully’s Coffee. Heading towards Central Street, the cleaning began in earnest. Cigarette butts were a common find, particularly hidden in plant beds and sidewalk crevices. Everyone worked diligently to clear them away.
The team also ventured to Kanda Myojin Street, with notable stops near our ACZ - Maid Cafe location and Mitsuwa Building. These areas, always cared for by our fairies, were already clean, thanks to the efforts of Masters and Princesses. 🌟
Closing Ceremony and Reflections ✨
After thoroughly cleaning the streets, everyone gathered for the closing ceremony. The maids welcomed participants with cheerful cries of, “Welcome back, Masters and Princesses!” and shared heartfelt reflections:
Time to talk!
Watage: “I was thrilled to see so many Masters and Princesses join us despite the short notice. I hope this event inspires more people to discover the broader efforts of maids in Akihabara.”
Nanase: “Though I was nervous being an emcee for the first time, I’m grateful for the wonderful experience and everyone’s participation. This event truly shows the power of community!”
Takaya Kobayashi added a delightful twist by inviting participants to share memorable moments from the day, bringing smiles all around.
A cheerful closing!

Walking through Akihabara with a focus on cleaning unveiled a surprising amount of hidden trash. Yet, seeing the streets transform through everyone’s collective efforts was inspiring. Watching so many Masters and Princesses participate filled me with pride as a maid at at-home cafe.
Let’s continue to cherish and preserve Akihabara, making it a city that everyone wants to return to. Together, we can make a difference!
